coast of England has been voted one of
the Top 10 city beach break destinations in the world! The
Cavalaire Bed and Breakfast is only a couple of minutes walk from Brighton
beach making it an ideal place to stay during your visit to
our wonderfully cosmopolitan city.
From the Award Winning Blue Flag pebble beach, echoes of laughter and enjoyment can be heard from the fair ground rides on the famous Brighton Pier, enticing you to come and join the fun. Whilst a relaxing stroll along the Boardwalk allows you to take in the atmosphere and music from the 'Galloping Horses' merry-go-round. Heading further west, you can absorb the calm and tranquillity of Hove Lawns, which offers the ideal setting for a picnic, as well as the perfect location for a holiday snap, against the splendid backdrop of the Victorian Bandstand.
The Brighton beach and promenade is a great place to take a stroll and soak up the chilled and yet exhilarating atmosphere that is Brighton. In the early morning cyclists, walkers and joggers enjoy a completely different feel to Brighton, especially so in the summer months when they are bathed in warm sunlight, with only the sound of the waves breaking onto the beach to keep them company.
As the day unfolds an unlimited choice of activities become available from volleyball and basketball courts, to water sports as well as live music, crazy golf, cafes and bars offering a cornucopia of alfresco winning and dinning. Along the Boardwalk you will find Art galleries, The Fishing Museum, souvenir shops and close by there is even a gym.
Head east from Brighton Pier and you
will be able to take a train ride on the historic Volks
Electric Railway from the Aquarium station to Black Rock
station near to the Marina. For those
with a head for heights, a sky high voyage on the Brighton
Ferris Wheel provides access to the stunning vistas around
Brighton. At night time Brighton becomes a city of fun
drawing visitors towards the lights emanating from the
Ferris Wheel, Brighton Pier and the fabulous
cafe's, bars and night clubs along the promonade.
Further east is Brighton
Marina, where you can shop until you drop or enjoy a variety
of restaurants, take in a visit to the cinema or have a flutter
in Brighton's Casino,
not forgetting the glamour of the vast collection of boats
on show in the delightful harbour setting.
For those with an eye for Great Architecture
Brighton has many wonderful examples to offer, including the splendour
of the Georgian buildings in
Brunswick Square, the
quintessentially Victorian style of the Grand Hotel, through
to the 'modernist' architectural style of Embassy Court,
which is a grade II listed residential building
completed in 1936, and not forgetting of course the post
World War II structures like the Brighton Conference Centre.
When the sun goes down, check out Brighton's seafront clubs
and bars that nestle underneath the Victorian beachfront
arches. Famous for their 'celebrity' DJ's these are some of
the best club nights in the country.
After your nocturnal adventures you'll certainly be looking forward to heading back along the Boardwalk, home to the Cavalaire Bed and Breakfast to enjoy a comfortable nights sleep and then to wake up to our lavish award winning breakfasts.
