Brighton Beach on the south east coast of England has been voted one of the Top 10 city beach break destinations in the world! From the Award Winning Blue Flag pebble beach, echoes of laughter and enjoyment can be heard from the fairground rides on the famous Brighton Pier, enticing you to come and join the fun. Whilst a relaxing stroll along the Boardwalk allows you to take in the atmosphere and music from the 'Galloping Horses' merry-go-round. Heading further west, you can absorb the calm and tranquillity of Hove Lawns, which offers the ideal setting for a picnic, as well as the perfect location for a holiday snap, against the splendid backdrop of the Victorian Bandstand.
The Brighton beach and promenade is a great place to take a stroll and soak up the chilled and yet exhilarating atmosphere that is Brighton. In the early morning cyclists, walkers and joggers enjoy a completely different feel to Brighton, especially so in the summer months when they are bathed in warm sunlight, with only the sound of the waves breaking onto the beach to keep them company.
As the day unfolds an unlimited choice of activities become available from volleyball and basketball courts, to water sports as well as live music, crazy golf, cafes and bars offering a cornucopia of alfresco winning and dinning. Along the Boardwalk you will find Art galleries, The Fishing Museum, souvenir shops and close by there is even a gym.
Head east from Brighton Pier and you will be able to take a train ride on the historic Volks Electric Railway from the Aquarium station to Black Rock station near to the Marina. For those with a head for heights, a sky high voyage on the The British Airways i360 provides access to the stunning vistas around Brighton. At night time Brighton becomes a city of fun drawing visitors towards the lights emanating from The British Airways i360, Brighton Pier and the fabulous cafe's, bars and night clubs along the promenade.
Further east is Brighton Marina, where you can shop until you drop or enjoy a variety of restaurants, take in a visit to the cinema or have a flutter in Brighton's Casino, not forgetting the glamour of the vast collection of boats on show in the delightful harbour setting.
For those with an eye for Great Architecture Brighton has many wonderful examples to offer, including the splendour of the Georgian buildings in Brunswick Square, the quintessentially Victorian style of the Grand Hotel, through to the 'modernist' architectural style of Embassy Court, which is a grade II listed residential building completed in 1936, and not forgetting of course the post World War II structures like the Brighton Conference Centre.
When the sun goes down, check out Brighton's seafront clubs and bars that nestle underneath the Victorian beachfront arches. Famous for their 'celebrity' DJ's these are some of the best club nights in the country.
