    BRIGHTON BEACH is just down the road at 5 minutes walk. BRIGHTON DOME, ROYAL PAVILLION and the THEATRE ROYAL are all within 15 minutes’ walk of our guest house. Brighton TRAIN STATION is around 20 minutes away, with direct links to London and Gatwick AIRPORT.

    Parking Options

    1. On street parking around Queens Park (West Drive) – This is metered parking about five minute walk from the guest house. It costs £6.50 for 24 hours and is paid on a daily basis at parking meters or via text (details by parking bays) or download the PayByPhone App.

    2. On street parking along Freshfields Road – This is metered parking about ten minute walk from the guest house. It costs £6.50 for 24 hours and is paid on a daily basis at parking meters or via text (details by parking bays) or download the PayByPhone App.

    (Please Note that at both these locations (1-2), the signs appear to say that you can only park for 11 hours. These are the chargeable hours. Parking is free on these streets from 9 pm to 9 am)

    3. Secure Car Park – NCP Car Park Brighton Centre Russell Rd (15 min walking) , Churchill Square Car Park (20 min walking).

    4. YourParkingSpace App – YourParkingSpace is the online marketplace designed to make it simple to park your car. Find parking and book online instantly – you will find hourly, daily parking spaces for rent UK-wide.

    5. Visitor Parking Scheme – This scheme allows visitors to park anywhere in the Kemp Town residents’ parking zone (Zone C) by displaying a ticket obtained from us. All the parking in the streets surrounding The Cavalaire Guest House, including Upper Rock Gardens. We can supply you (at arrival – no need to book that in advance) with tickets at a cost of £10.00 for 24 hours.

    Please, don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any enquiries or any special request. Mind that we are a little hotel, and we don’t have a reception, but if you need us we are always around.

    What time is CHECK-IN?

    CHECK-IN: Between 2pm and 8pm. When booking please confirm your estimated time of arrival. Please note we DO NOT operate a 24 hour reception, but we can arrage a LATE check-in if you book that in advance. Although the normal check in time is after 2.00pm we will be happy to look after your luggage until your room becomes available.

    What time is CHECK-OUT?

    CHECK-OUT is usually no later than 11.00 am. Later check out can be arranged for an additional charge subject of course to constraints of anticipated arrivals.

    Can I book breakfast?

    You can always decide to order breakfast on the premises for 15£/person. Mind that we do PRE-ORDER Breakfast the day before, to avoid waste and serve always fresh delicious food.

    Do you store luggages?

    Left luggage is accepted on the understanding that it is entirely at your own risk. Whilst we have never encountered any bad experiences, we are unable to accept any responsibility or liability for loss or damage whatsoever.

    Cancellation Policy

    It will depend on the rate that you chose during your booking. For short stays of maximum of 4 days, it is ONE DAY of cancellation policy. For long stays of minimum of 5 days, it is FIVE DAY of cancellation policy. For Non-Refundable rate, the cancellation policy applies from ONE HOUR after your booking. After the cancellation term, the full amount of your booking will be charged in any case.

    Cavalaire Hotel is central and conveniently located for transport links. In the vibrant costal city of Brighton, easily accessible from the Main Airports – Streets – Ports

    Brighton is just 45 minutes by car from Gatwick Airport which is also well served by excellent rail and coach links. From Heathrow, there’s a frequent coach service via Gatwick and a tube and train service via London.

    Directions by CAR

    Gatwick is the closest Airport to Brighton, just 50 km away. From the M25/M23/A23, follow the signs for Brighton City Centre all the way to the seafront. At the roundabout near the pier, turn left onto Marine Parade. At the first traffic lights, turn left into Lower Rock Gardens and continue straight on at the next traffic lights into Upper Rock Gardens. The Cavalaire is at number 34 on the right hand side.

    Brighton is well served by trains from London (50/60 minutes away) and other locations. The Cavalaire is a pleasant 20 minute walk from Brighton station, or an easy 5/10 minute ride by taxi, which are readily available from the rank at the station.

    Brighton is well served by coaches from throughout the UK & Europe. The Cavalaire is a half-mile walk or taxi ride from the main coach station near the pier.

    Directions by TAXI from Gatwick Airport

    Gatwick is the closest Airport to Brighton, just 50 km away. If you choose to take a TAXI, the price will be around 40£ for 45 minutes on the road.
