Brighton beachfront offers a buzzing playground of swimming, sailing, basketball and volleyball, whilst away from the water you can enjoy a day at Brighton Races or test your nerve with some power boat riding.

And with so much stunning Sussex countryside literally on the doorstep of the city there are loads of opportunities for walking and cycling activities on the South Downs and areas beyond Brighton too.

After all that action you may find yourself in need of a relaxing treatment or sports massage and Brighton has a wide range of spas to help you unwind.

Lagoon watersports, Brighton Marina

Learn to yacht sail, dinghy sail, or drive a powerboat. They provide full tuition, all specialised equipment and their courses are suitable for people with no previous experience right through to expert. They offer full RYA training courses on yachts, sailing dinghies and powerboats. Most of these need to be booked in advanced.

Lagoon watersports, Hove

Hove Lagoon is offering wakeboarding, sailing, windsurfing, Kayaking and Standup Paddleboarding on the Lagoon and the sea and well as the Big beach Cafe. Hove Lagoon is also home to a skateboard park, a playground, a kids paddle pool, kids play area, kids boating pool and a model boat club.

Wind Farm Tours

Take a trip out the New Rampion offshore windfarm. It is approximately 30 minutes from Brighton Marina and will consist of a 2 -3 hour tour. The return trip takes in the Brighton Seafront.

The Level park

The Level Brighton is a Green Flag unique award winning open space in the heart of the awesome City of Brighton. Part of the Valley Gardens corridor, the Level has a rich history and it is a one of Brighton’s busiest parks, serving as a cross roads for the diverse communities that use and surround it.

The park has an international-standard skatepark, refurbished by Freestyle, the Level Skate Park is a 1,400m sq, polished concrete park. Opened in June 2013 it’s now the centre of the skate scene in Brighton and for good reason.

The American Express Community Stadium

The award-winning American Express Community Stadium opened in 2011 and is home to Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club. The club currently compete in the Premier League, following promotion from the Championship in 2017.

Yellowave Beach Sports Venue, Sea Front Attraction

Yellowave Beach Sports provides Brighton & Hove with its very own sandy beach. The venue offers 6 beach volleyball courts all available to hire by the hour. There’s also a lovely light and airy cafe and outside deck, a free sandy play area for tots and the gorgeous Clubhouse room which hosts a variety of classes and is also available to hire for meetings and parties.

Buzz Active

Enjoy the calm waters of the stunning Cuckmere river meanders, and the open sea at Cuckmere Haven. With breath-taking views of the Seven Sisters Country Park and Seaford Head, where better to get out for an adventure on the water!

They offer canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and raft building activities for school groups, groups with special needs, families, stag and hen parties and corporate away days. All groups are accompanied by a fully qualified British Canoeing instructor.

They also have partnerships with local providers the Sussex Wildlife Trust, which means you can include a guided nature walk or fire lighting session as part of your visit.
