Please note that at busy times of the year and occasionally at weekends, we reserve the right to change these rates and policies without notice.
Minimum Stay: At busy times of the year and almost always at weekends, we have a minimum stay policy. This will vary from 2 nights at the weekend (3 at Bank Holidays) and up to 7 days during conference periods and the busy summer months.
Arrival and Departure: Our check in times are Monday to Friday 11.30am to 9.00pm, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays 11.30am to 2.00pm. When booking please confirm your estimated time of arrival. Please note we DO NOT operate a 24 hour reception. Although the normal check in time is after 11.30am we will be happy to look after your luggage until your room becomes available.
Check out is usually no later than 11.30 am. Later check out can be arranged for an additional charge subject of course to constraints of anticipated arrivals.
Breakfast: Our famous breakfast, freshly made to order, is served in our dining room between the following times:
Monday to Friday: 7.45 - 9.00am
Saturday: 9.00 - 10.00am
Sunday and UK bank holidays: 9.30 - 10.30am
Reservation policy: Once we have accepted your reservation, we require a valid credit / debit card number (together with expiry date, name as it appears on the card and billing address) to guarantee your booking against cancellation. PLEASE NOTE that the first night room rate of your booking, for each room, will be charged to the card details provided at the time of booking.
Cancellation or Amendment: If you have to cancel or amend your reservation once confirmed, then a cancellation charge will apply as follows: From the time of making your booking we will apply a cancellation or amendment fee of £25 per room for administration purposes. Between 30 and 2 days prior to arrival a charge of 100% of the first night room rate will apply. Within 48 hours of arrival the full amount for the full duration booked will be charged. Durations reduced during your stay will be billed at the full rate unless the room can be re-sold without loss.
We strongly advise that suitable travel insurance is purchased to cover these cancellation/amendment charges.
Cancellation or Amendment by us: At The Cavalaire we want you to be delighted every time you make a booking with us. However, all bookings are taken at the discretion of the management and subject to availability. Occasionally a telephone booking may be made before the details of an online booking reach us, rendering such a booking as unavailable. Whilst we will make every effort to avoid this happening we cannot guarantee this and failure to do so will not constitute a breach of contract between us. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL OR AMEND ANY BOOKING AT THE DISCRETION OF THE MANAGEMENT.
In the unlikely event that circumstances arise when we have to cancel or change a booking (including bookings made via third party sites) you may:
(a) Accept the changed booking arrangements as notified. (b) Make an alternative booking arrangement with us. (c) Cancel your reservation and receive a FULL refund.
Smoking/Lost Keys/Wear & Tear/Left Items: Details of a valid credit or debit card are required at the time of check-in to cover for incidentals and any damage.
We are strictly a no smoking establishment, smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises.
On registering you are signing for ONE full sets of keys. You accept full responsibility for all persons in your party. Any damage caused by smoking or any means other than general wear and tear will be billed against the credit/debit card details provided at the time of booking/check-in, there is a minimum charge of £100.
NB cooked food items such as curries pizzas etc are NOT to be taken to or consumed in the bedrooms, Keys lost or not returned on departure will be charged at £200 per set.
We are very happy to return items that you might have left in your room at departure, there is a minimum charge of £25 P&P for the return of such items. Items NOT claimed with 7 days after departure will be sent to a local charity outlet.
Left luggage is accepted on the understanding that it is entirely at your own risk. Whilst we have never encountered any bad experiences, we are unable to accept any responsibility or liability for loss or damage whatsoever.
